要約問題から挑戦してみましょう！

要約問題

課題文１

More and more people drink coffee in the morning. Some make it at home, and others buy it at cafes before going to school or work.

Coffee also helps people enjoy time with others. They often meet friends at cafes to talk, relax, or even work there.

However, drinking too much coffee is not good for your health. It can make people feel nervous, cause stomach problems, or make it hard to sleep.

準2級プラス 要約のやり方（3ステップ）

各段落の大事な文（中心文）を見つける

• 1段落に1文ずつ、「この段落で一番伝えたいことは何か？」を考える
• 多くの場合、最初の文である

その文をつなげて並べる

• 段落の順番をそのまま使う（1→2→3）
• ただし、つなげたときにつながりが不自然なら少し調整する

長すぎる部分を短くしたり言いかえたりして調整

• 重要でない情報（例：数字、具体的な例）を省略する
• 必要なら、つなぎ言葉（and, but, soなど）を入れて自然な文にする
• 最後に語数（25〜35語）に収まっているかチェック！

課題３の日本語訳

最近では、家庭でソーラーパネルを使うことがよく議論されています。これは、エネルギー費が高い地域では特に重要です。一部の地域では、家庭にソーラーパネルの利用を促すプロジェクトも始まっています。

ソーラーパネルは、電気代を減らすことができ、環境にも良いので有益です。より多くの人が使えば、化石燃料の需要が減り、地球温暖化を抑える助けになります。また、地域が輸入エネルギーに依存しにくくすることもできます。

この準２プラスの要約についての感想

正直、最初は思いました。
「え、80語くらいの文を25〜35語に要約するって、意味ある？？」って（笑）

第1回目の英検準２プラスが終わって過去問題を見てみたら、97語ある問題もありました。

難易度もちょっと幅があるなと感じます。（ですから要約課題３はちょっと難し目です）

100語以下の英文であれば、簡単すぎず、でも初めての要約問題としてはまあまあ良いと思いました。

２級と同じく、要約文には「賛成・反対の意見」がしっかり書かれているので、
👀視点を広げる練習にもなるし
💬従来の意見文トレーニングにもつながります。

準２プラスの要約をしっかりやっておけば、２級を挑戦するときも比較的楽だと思いますよ！

意見論述

英検のライティング問題を見ていると、無駄に難しくない？と思うことがあります。

これは「英作文力」だけじゃなく「読解力」も試されているのでしょう。
お題が少し読みにくいのはそのためだと思われます。

もしお題（プロンプト）を読み間違えると、作文全体がずれてしまいます。
だからまずは「お題を正しく理解する」ことが、良い英作文への第一歩なんですね！
